You’re taking a refreshing dip in the False Bay waters off the Cape Peninsular Coast when a colony of African penguins’ swim amongst you in the pristine blue waters. Ducking and diving through the waters in between you and the crashing waves these relaxed penguins happily swim or waddle past you as you enjoy your time on Boulders Beach.
If waters are too refreshing for your liking, there is a great way to see the penguins from the warmth of the land on a wooden walkway which has many vantage points to witness the penguins frolicking in the ocean, sunbathing on the sandy beach or waddling up the magnificent boulder formations which gives the beach it’s namesake.
The African penguins look cute and cuddly, but please note… You can not touch or feed the penguins.
After your close encounter with the African penguins take a leisurely drive to the nearby Simon’s Town where you can enjoy a nice glass of wine and amazing seafood whilst overlooking the picturesque ocean.
